back from otakon!

so otakon 2009 was AWESOME!!!! i went with my husband and much fun was had. we did the obligatory wait out in 90-something and humid weather for our pre-reg stuff on thursday, but remembered to bring an umbrella and sunscreen, so we didn't get incredibly sunburnt. we stayed at the hilton, which had a freakin' skywalk from the hotel to the con!!! was so excited! i didn't have to walk in the heat for the rest of the weekend!
i cosplayed as Ed from fullmetal alchemist (pics will follow soon, i hope) and bought TONS of swag. saw kanon wakeshima who was a pop cellist and that was totally cool. got her autograph on sunday morning before we left, too.
i bought plushes!! found one of penpen from eva and my husband found me a kakashi that has a sharingan! so cool!
all in all, much much fun and i hope i can go again next year. 6 cons and counting! :-)
